The beautiful French actress/singer/model who is now famous for heading Chanel's new campaign for the 2010 release of their new lipstick Rouge Coco. I love the way she accentuates her facial features while always keeping it natural and sophisticated. She is bringing the old French look back I love it! So glamorous she is such a beauty inspiration for me.

In the name of all that is holy - Nails!
When i first saw the release pics for Chanel's limited edition fashion week nail polish shades it felt like the clouds opened up and the light shone down on me........... The angels flew down from heaven singing gospel! A trio of shades so good that they must have been sent from god, right?
Haha, that may be a little bit dramatic but i really adore all 3 shades from Chanel's September launch for Fashion's night out. You can guarantee i am sporting one of the shades at least once a week (they make excellent office shades).
Today i am wearing the Khaki Vert, check out the pics and let me know what you think xx

My Perfume Collection
I love perfume! So when i was recently tagged to do a perfume collection video i got really excited to share with you all. Needless to say i have some great scents and some "just okay" scents, hopefully this post will help out a few people narrow down what to buy so you don't end up with a ridiculous amount like me.
I'm going to start with my absolute favourite, the one perfume i could not live without and have re-purchased a kazillion times:
Gucci Rush
For me this is the ultimate in scents, its sooooo yummy i just can't stop sniffing myself when i wear it. The name "Rush" comes from the drug everyone was doing in the 90's because its verrrrrry addictive. To me it smells like a yummy floral cocktail, i can't get enough. The smell is ultra long lasting and lingers all day.
Top notes: gardenia and freesia
Middle notes: asmine, Turkish rose and coriander
Base notes: vanilla, patchouli and vetiver.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
Ahhhh, this reminds me of warm sunny days on the beach wearing coconut oil. Very nice scent for summer.
Contains: sunny bergamot, lemon and mandarin, coconut, Tiare petals, magnolia, neroli, jasmine, lavender, amber myrrh, vetiver, vanilla and sandalwood.
Daisy by Marc Jacobs
So feminine, this is my go to office perfume. It's very "fresh" smelling while being extremely sophisticated and a little bit seductive. I like its simplicity..... like clean sheets mmmmmmm.
Contains fruity strawberry notes, intensive green aroma of violet leaf and sparkling spicy pink grapefruit, silky and intoxicating gardenia, delicate violet, and jasmine petals. The powdery soft dry down is composed of white woods, vanilla and musk.
SJP NYC
When i first got this i wasn't sure......... it smells so strongly of strawberries i was a bit frightened. But as you can see by how much i have used i really tend to reach for it a lot, it is very youthful and kind of perks you up for the day. I'm not entirely sure i would re-purchase. It's a weird love/hate relationship.
Top notes: mandarin from Italy, white osmanthus and wild strawberries.
Middle notes: gardenia, honeysuckle, mimosa and red Damascena rose
Base notes: vanilla absolute, sandalwood, rum and creamy musk.
Kim Kardashian Fragrance
I waited forever for this to come out in Australia, i am obsessed with Kim Kardashian and i couldn't wait to get my hands on a bottle! I managed to pick up a full sized sample from eBay (only down side is it came with no lid). It was very much worth the wait..... the smell is intoxicating and you just wanna put it on with a crop duster lol!
Top notes: mandarin surrounded with floral-lemon honeysuckle and orange blossom
Middle notes: pink jasmine, tuberose, gardenia and spices
Base notes: Tonka, jacaranda wood, vanilla orchid, sexy musk and creamy sandalwood.
Beckham Signature for Her
This is my least favourite of the fragrences i own, it just smells cheap and unoriginal to me. Kind of like an impulse body spray. Lucky i only paid $12 for the full size. Would not re-purchase.
Top notes: star anise and green apple
Middle notes: orchid, heliotrope and vanilla
Base notes: patchouli, amber and musk.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
How gorgeous is this bottle?? Its so beautiful you want to keep it out on display for the world to see. This is a real spoil-me-rotten type of scent to me. I wear it on days i want to smell special and pampered. I love the musky smell it leaves on your skin all day.
Top notes: wild berries and juicy mandarin
Middle notes: floral blend of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine
Base notes: amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and pralines.
YSL, Young Sexy Lovely
This is one of my newer perfume's i picked up on impulse on a trip to priceline, to me it smells very delicate and dainty. It is a floral just like all the rest of my perfumes lol. I think this is a go to perfume for any occassion where you might want to appear conservative but feminine.
Top notes: ripe pear, Italian mandarin and blackcurrant
Middle notes: cherry blossom magnolia and peach.
Base notes: crystalline musk, amber and cedarwood.
Vera Wang Princess
The first perfume i was ever given back when i started high school, i have never forgotten it. I have gotten many a compliment about this scent over the years and the fruity orientalness of it makes me so happy.
It's also a really cute bottle, a heart shaped jewel. Very romantic and a great gift for a younger lady.
Top notes: water lily, apple, freshly-sweet mandarin and apricot.
Middle notes: exotic guava, Tiare flower, tuberose, with a touch of dark chocolate
Base notes: vanilla, amber and wood.
Britney Spears Believe
In my opinion this is Britney's first worth my money scent, the previous packaging of her fragrances have been cheap and "toy like". I love the straight and sharp line of this bottle and the green colour makes me think of fresh dewy spring. Which is exactly what it smells like. I think it is a very romantic scent. It also kind of smells like dessert......... yummmy!
Top notes: guava and tangerine
Middle notes: honeysuckle and linden blossom
Base notes: a beautiful accord of patchouli, amber and sweet praline notes
Benefit My place or yours.... Gina
I really liked the unusual outer carton which opens from one side and has great illustrations of a bright little doorway. Its the kind of packing you really want to keep but know you will never find a use for.
My place or yours Gina is the scent of provocative, modern and feminine apartment, composed of oriental-woody notes such as: pink pepper, bergamot, tangerine, peony, raspberry, lily, Tonka, vanilla and patchouli.

Gucci Rush 2
I really, really, really hate this scent..... I bought it online without trying it first (bad move), since Gucci Rush is my favourite perfume i really was expecting something great. It is not at all similar to Gucci Rush in fact it is very "green" smelling to me. I've only used it once or twice and will never re-purchase, my sister can expect this to be in her next care package hehe.
The structure of this scent does not follow the classic tree-level pyramid, but is horizontal, so we can smell the whole floral composition at once. This fresh and flowery fragrance opens with rose, freesia and musk. Woodsy accords with green notes of palm, oakmoss and narcissus create the sensual trail.
Burberry Brit
I really don't know how to describe this smell, it is so edgy and modern with still being so classic and sophisticated.... Those people at Burberry sure know how to WOW me with their fragrances.
Burberry describe it as a green, oriental fragrance that features a surprising mix of sugar and spice. With top notes of Italian lime, icy pear and crisp, green almond. Heart notes of sugared almond and white peony and dry down notes of amber, mahogany wood, tonka beans and vanilla.
So that is the bulk of my collection, i have a few others i didn't photograph because they were in my handbag but they are:
Micheal Kors Very Hollywood
I just have the little roller ball Sephora style size of this but i will be picking up the full size in November when i go through duty free.
Very Hollywood was developed by perfumers Laurent Le Guernec (who created the original Michael) and Pascal Gaurin, and it’s considerably more au courant. The opening is bright, fruity, sparkly and pink: if I were writing the ad copy, I’d call it “watery pink champagne accord garnished with berries” (the notes: mandarin, iced bergamot, wet jasmine, ylang-ylang, raspberry, gardenia, orris, creamy amber, soft white moss and vetiver). After that it’s watery florals. There’s some strong gardenia for a time, but the heart is mostly pale and nondescript, as is the current fashion: it’s nothing like the romantic, heavily floral Michael at all.
Halle by Halle Berry
Halle opens FRUITY and SWEET (and yes, I’m screaming on purpose), as is very nearly requisite for a celebrity fragrance. For the first few minutes, it could be any Britney Spears and/or Paris Hilton fruital concoction featuring a large slab of vanilla cake with caramel icing, but at about the 15 minute mark, the fruits and sugar start to calm, and it slowly evolves into the woody oriental we were promised (the notes: bergamot, pear blossom, freesia, fig, hibiscus, ultra mimosa, sandalwood, driftwood, cashmere musk, olibanum and sensual amber).
So that's my collection for now, i'm also thinking about adding a few others like the new Paco Rabanne Lady Million, Jennifer Anniston, Fergie Outspoken and Chantecaille Vetyver, Petales & Kalimantan.
Let me know what you think :)

Summer Brights - Pink & Coral
Summer is finally just around the corner here in Australia (*YAY*). One of the things i am loving about summer 2010 is the comeback of bright bold lips. But not everyone has to confidence it takes to pull off a bright lip, when i first get a new bold colour i always wear it around the house for a few hours first - being sure to keep looking in the mirror etc. it really helps to get over the initial shock and builds confidence.
I have picked up a few tips and tricks over the years that i think might be helpful if your trying to pull off this look. I hope they are helpful!
1. Prep, prep, prep! I cannot stress how important it is to have soft, moisturised lips before applying your lipstick. The bright colours really accentuate any dryness chapping you might have. So try using a lip scrub first (i really love the sugar scrubs by Lush - they taste SO GOOD) then apply a good chapstick/lip conditioner. Be sure to let it sink in for a while first.
2. Line those babies. Try and find a lip liner that is very similar in colour or at least a nude. Line the outside of your lips and fill in the rest. This provides a great no smudge base for your colour and you won't get any bleeding. Guaranteed.
3. Definition is for old Ladies. Don't be too exact, you don't want to end up with harsh straight lines - use your lipstick straight from the tube, you'll get way better colour pay off this way. Then ever so slightly go around the perimeter with your pinky finger and smudge/tap out the border.
4. Make it last. If you don't want your colour wearing off halfway through the day apply a clear setting powder like MAC Prep & Prime powder over the top. You won't notice it there and it will extend the wear by atleast 6 hours.
5. Pucker up. An old Marilyn Monroe style trick - when your all done applying your lipstick pucker up and put your finger into your mouth, kiss and pull your finger out to remove and residue. This stops the lipstick getting on your teeth.
Here a few bright colour's I plan on rocking this summer.
Pinks
Left to Right: MAC Saint Germaine, Catwalk Tokyo, Revlon Wild Orchid, Hourglass Cosmetics Fever and Rimmel Pink Gossip.
$AU 35.00
The most beautiful babyish cool toned pink. This colour is very wearable and can easily be toned down with a beige lipgloss and light application.
$AU 5.00
So cheap, so easy, so gorgeous!
Anywhere from $AU20-26.00
I am in love with this colour, one of the richest and most pigmented "drug store" lipsticks i have ever purchased. The perfect HOT DEEP pink.
$AU 45.00
So luxurious and the packaging is to die for! The formula is so rich, creamy and moisturising. I love Hourglass cosmetics even though their products are quite pricey. I adore this colour!
$AU 9.95
This is a very popular colour for summer. It tastes like strawberries and is great bang for your buck.

Pink Glosses
From Left to Right: Hourglass Cosmetics Extreme Sheen Lipgloss Origami, Dior Crystal Gloss Dior Addict, Revlon Pink Pop, Cover Girl Wet Slicks Raspberry Splash.
$AU 38.00
This lipgloss is great for summer because it is water resistant, i'm about to head off to Thai-Land so can't wait to test out it's durability in the hot humid weather on the beach. Watch this space.
$AU 45.00
Dior's first Gel based lipgloss. It doubles as a lipstain and the pinkness intensifies the more you apply. Gel lipglosses are great for summer and they don't leave you with the sticky feeling a lot of lipglosses do.
$AU 16.95
I f***ing love this whole range from Revlon. Buy this! Now!
$AU 10.95
Tastes really good and has a pretty, fine shimmer. I like these type of applicators for the beach, it stops sand from getting in your gloss.

There was so much hype surrounding this lipstick when it first come out, it is such a pretty light coraly-peach. It is a cremesheen formula by MAC which is THE BEST! It smells great feels great on. This is my go to colour of the summer. Wish i got a back up.
$AU 20-26.00
The brightest coral i've ever sheen. Strictly for when i'm feeling adventurous!
$AU 49.00
YSL's Rouge Volupte's are just heaven on the lips. This is a limited edition colour that was just released with the new season's line. A very light wash of peach with a beautiful, fine microshimmer.
