I have a new obsession - and its LUSH!!
Walking through by local Westfields/mall yesterday i came across a Lush... A place i have avioded previously because strong perfumes tend to give me a headache (boooo!) but after months of raving by Lollipop26 http://www.lollipop26writes.com/search/label/Lush and TiffanyDhttp://makeupbytiffanyd.blogspot.com/search/label/Lush i finally caved and decided to have a look, and i am so glas i did - I ended up with a bag full of goodies which i am going to Haul for you all :)
So i was having a good old browse when one of the lovely sales reps showed me a special deal which they have going on in store at the moment:-
7 Products for $19.95................!! Needless to say i was impressed. So i got 7 skincare products aimed at Oily/Acne Prone Skin (which is what i have) and they are:
2 (generous) Sample sizes of Ultra Bland Cleanser - A thick oil based cleanser/make up remover designed to remove all makeup, lipstick, mascara etc. I used it for the first time last night and didn't particulary like it, it was very thick and oily and it was probably the way i was using it but i didn't find it that effective at removing all my Diorshow mascara! Tell me how you use it and i'll give it another try! I think this would more suit someone with dry/normal skin.
1 Vitman C Toner Tab - You're supposed to drop it into some hot water and give your face a good steam clean (place face over blow with a towel covering your head for 5 mins) i haven't used this one yet but my skin usually responds well to Vitamn C treatments and i'm looking forward to trying it.
1 Tree Toner Tab - Used the same way as the Vitaman C Toner tab it aims at toning teenaged, troubled and traumatised skin. I used this last night and WOW not only did it make my skin feel great and "refreshed" but it also got rid of a headache that had be pestering me ALL DAY! I can see this creeping its way into my beauty regime on a weekly basis.
1 Sample Size Tub of Vanishing Cream - I've only used this last night and this morning so i can't give a proper review but it was quite pleasant to use and didn't irritate my skin like a lot of shea butter based moisturisers do. It's again aimed at acne prone, oily skin. Stay tuned to see if it works.
1 Sample Size Tub of Imperialis - Made to work on faces that are combination or both dry and oily. I like the idea of a "luxury all in one pot" product but i often find they don't work great on me because i have super oily skin. I'm going to do one week of the Vanishing Cream then one week of the Imperialis so i'll update again after i've used it and let you know.
1 Pot of Love Lettuce Mask - I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!! This mask is so rich and has ground almond and almond shells that are brilliant at exfoliating. It is a clay based mask so is excellent at absorbing oils, after i washed it off (with the mesh cloth that comes in the night in for 2 pack) i could not stop touching my skin!! It felt so soft and clean, i had to call in my boyfriend and make him pause his PS3 so he could feel! If you buy anything from Lush GET THIS!
I also picked up a few other goodies:
Tea Tree Water
Love that it's in a spray bottle - my skin feels super refreshed after using it!
Dream Cream
The name says it all, this really is the body moisturiser i have been dreaming of! It smells of calming camomile and lavender and is so thick, creamy and beautiful! Believe the hype folks.... i woke up this morning with beautiful silky soft skin :) :) :)
Lip Service Balm
Maybe its me or naybe its the weather but i can't seem to get any of this product onto my lips! Its like a solid mass of set candle wax or something... anyway i can't figure it out, please advise!
Because it smells of Jasmine and Lavender which makes me HAPPY :)
Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar
Who can say no to sparkly things........ not me!
And because i spent over $40 i got to play a game called toss the boss! The sales rep throws a dice and if you can throw a number that is higher you win a free batj product!!! Well i rolled a 5 and she got a 2, hooray for free things :) Is this what i chose:
The Comforter Bubble Bar
I chose it because of the lovely description:
The Comforter does exactly as the name implies, it comforts your mind and body after a long day. Crumble half the bar under running tap water and watch the water turn a wondrous shade of pink topped with white frothy bubbles. The scents of blackcurrants and orange, cypress and bergamot oils will let you relax and wash your troubles away while they tone and soothe your skin. This fruity aroma will wrap you up in a reassuring blanket of bathing bubbles. It’s like being dunked in a bowl of warm slightly intoxicating punch, but without the spoon. You’ll find it hard to leave the tub.
I used it last night and i am very impressed, one of the nicest bath products i've ever used! Very comforting and they're not wrong when they say you'll find it hard to leave the tub!
So that's all my lush goodies for now... don't be surprised if you see another haul come up in the near nuture, i walk past a lush on my way to/from work everyday! This could be bad...... What are your favourite Lush-haves??
